der Promotion im DFG-Projekt "Unknown Data – Mining and consolidating
research dataset metadata on the Web"* (E13 TV-L, 100%, 3 Jahre)
Die Professur Information Processing and Analytics der
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin befasst sich mit der Extraktion von
Wissen aus großen Datenmengen und nutzt dabei Technologien und
Verfahren aus den Bereichen Data Mining & Machine Learning, Linked
Data, Information Extraction und Natural Language Processing.
Im Rahmen des DFG-Projekts "Unknown Data – Mining and consolidating
research dataset metadata on the Web"
(https://gepris.dfg.de/gepris/projekt/460676019) sollen Verfahren zum
fokussierten Crawlen von Forschungsdaten, zur Relevanzbewertung von
Webseiten und zum Social-Media-Link-Mining entwickelt werden. Dies ist
ein gemeinsames Projekt mit der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf,
HeiCAD – Heine Center for Artificial Intelligence & Data Science,
GESIS – Leibniz-Institut für Sozialwissenschaften und Schloss Dagstuhl
– Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik.
*Wir suchen für dieses Projekt Sie als wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in.*
Die Stelle wird nach E13 TV-L vergütet und ist gemäß §2 Absatz 2
Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz entsprechend der Projektdauer auf drei
Jahre befristet. Es besteht die Möglichkeit zu einer Promotion im Fach
Informatik oder Informationswissenschaft.
*Ihre Aufgaben*:
- Erforschung und Anwendung von Methoden und Algorithmen in den
Bereichen Data Mining/Machine Learning, insbesondere
Link/Content-based Relevance Judgement für fokussiertes Crawlen von
Webseiten und Social-Media-Daten
- Verarbeitung großer, heterogener Webdaten
- Unterstüzung bei der Integration der Ergebnisse in die Plattformen
von GESIS und DBLP
- Anwendung innovativer Technologien beispielsweise zum Aufbau einer
Such- und Analyseinfrastruktur
- Austausch mit Fachcommunities und Aufbau eines Netzwerkes mit
Forschenden
- wissenschaftliche Dokumentation und Präsentation von Entwicklungen
und Ergebnissen
*Ihr Profil*:
Erforderlich sind:
- guter Universitätsabschluss in Informatik oder verwandten Fächern
(Abschlussarbeit muss zumindestet eingereicht sein)
- sehr gute Programmierkenntnisse und Erfahrung im Umgang mit modernen
Softwareentwicklungs-Werkzeugen
- gute Kenntnisse in mindestens einem der folgenden Bereiche: Data
Mining/Machine Learning, Web Crawling, Informationsextraktion, Named
Entity Recognition and Linking
- sehr gute Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
Erwünscht sind:
- Interesse an teamorientierter Forschungsarbeit auf internationalem
Niveau in einem interdisziplinären Team von Informatikern*innen
- Interesse an der Verarbeitung großer Datenmengen und der Betreuung
der entsprechenden Infrastruktur

The purpose of CISTI'2022’s Doctoral Symposium is to provide graduate students a setting where they can, informally, expose and discuss their work, collecting valuable expert opinions and sharing new ideas, methods and applications. The Doctoral Symposium is an excellent opportunity for PhD students to present and discuss their work in a Workshop format. Each presentation will be evaluated by a panel composed by at least three Information Systems and Technologies experts.
Contributions Submission
The Doctoral Symposium is opened to PhD students whose research area includes the themes proposed for this Conference. Submissions must include an extended abstract (maximum 4 pages), following the Conference style guide <https://mkt.saisti.eu/go/8d7792d8ed78f2a753cb37749df2bdc75b35a2074e-322--2a…>. All selected contributions will be published with the Conference Proceedings in electronic format with ISBN. These contributions will be available in the IEEE Xplore <https://mkt.saisti.eu/go/8d7792d8ed78f2a753cb37749df2bdc75b35a2074e-322--2a…> Digital Library and will be sent for indexing in ISI, Scopus, EI-Compendex, INSPEC and Google Scholar.
Submissions must include the field, the PhD institution and the number of months devoted to the development of the work. Additionally, they should include in a clear and succinct manner:
• The problem approached and its significance or relevance
• The research objectives and related investigation topics
• A brief display of what is already known
• A proposed solution methodology for the problem
• Expected results

TYPES of SUBMISSIONS and DECISIONS
Four types of papers can be submitted:
Full paper: Finished or consolidated R&D works, to be included in one of the Conference themes. These papers are assigned a 10-page limit.
Short paper: Ongoing works with relevant preliminary results, open to discussion. These papers are assigned a 7-page limit.
Poster paper: Initial work with relevant ideas, open to discussion. These papers are assigned to a 4-page limit.
Company paper: Companies' papers that show practical experience, R & D, tools, etc., focused on some topics of the conference. These papers are assigned to a 4-page limit.
Submitted papers must comply with the format of Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing Series (see Instructions for Authors at Springer Website), be written in English, must not have been published before, not be under review for any other conference or publication and not include any information leading to the authors’ identification. Therefore, the authors’ names, affiliations and bibliographic references should not be included in the version for evaluation by the Program Committee. This information should only be included in the camera-ready version, saved in Word or Latex format and also in PDF format. These files must be accompanied by the Consent to Publish form filled out, in a ZIP file, and uploaded at the conference management system.
All papers will be subjected to a “double-blind review” by at least two members of the Program Committee.
Based on Program Committee evaluation, a paper can be rejected or accepted by the Conference Chairs. In the later case, it can be accepted as the type originally submitted or as another type. Thus, full papers can be accepted as short papers or poster papers only. Similarly, short papers can be accepted as poster papers only.
Poster papers and Company papers are not published in the Conference Proceedings, being only presented and discussed. The authors of accepted poster papers should build and print a poster to be exhibited during the Conference. This poster must follow an A1 or A2 vertical format. The Conference includes Work Sessions where these posters are presented and orally discussed, with a 7 minute limit per poster.
The authors of accepted Full papers will have 15 minutes to present their work in a Conference Work Session; approximately 5 minutes of discussion will follow each presentation. The authors of accepted Short papers and Company papers will have 11 minutes to present their work in a Conference Work Session; approximately 4 minutes of discussion will follow each presentation.
PUBLICATION & INDEXING
To ensure that a full paper or short paper is published, poster paper or company paper is presented, at least one of the authors must be fully registered by the 8nd of January 2022, and the paper must comply with the suggested layout and page-limit. Additionally, all recommended changes must be addressed by the authors before they submit the camera-ready version.
No more than one paper per registration will be published. An extra fee must be paid for publication of additional papers, with a maximum of one additional paper per registration. One registration permits only the participation of one author in the conference.
Full and Short papers will be published in Proceedings by Springer, in a book of the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series, will be submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, WoS, Google Scholar, SCImago, among others, and will be available in the SpringerLink Digital Library. Poster and company papers will not be published, just presented in the conference.
The authors of the best selected papers will be invited to extend them for publication in international journals indexed by WoS/SCI, SCOPUS and DBLP, among others, such as:

The WorldCist'22 - 10th World Conference on Information Systems and Technologies, to be held in Budva, Montenegro, 12-14 April 2022, is a global forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, results, experiences and concerns in the several perspectives of Information Systems and Technologies.
We are pleased to invite you to submit your papers to WorldCist'22. All submissions will be reviewed on the basis of relevance, originality, importance and clarity.

TYPES of SUBMISSIONS and DECISIONS
Four types of papers can be submitted:
Full paper: Finished or consolidated R&D works, to be included in one of the Conference themes. These papers are assigned a 10-page limit.
Short paper: Ongoing works with relevant preliminary results, open to discussion. These papers are assigned a 7-page limit.
Poster paper: Initial work with relevant ideas, open to discussion. These papers are assigned to a 4-page limit.
Company paper: Companies' papers that show practical experience, R & D, tools, etc., focused on some topics of the conference. These papers are assigned to a 4-page limit.
Submitted papers must comply with the format of Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing Series (see Instructions for Authors at Springer Website), be written in English, must not have been published before, not be under review for any other conference or publication and not include any information leading to the authors’ identification. Therefore, the authors’ names, affiliations and bibliographic references should not be included in the version for evaluation by the Program Committee. This information should only be included in the camera-ready version, saved in Word or Latex format and also in PDF format. These files must be accompanied by the Consent to Publish form filled out, in a ZIP file, and uploaded at the conference management system.
All papers will be subjected to a “double-blind review” by at least two members of the Program Committee.
Based on Program Committee evaluation, a paper can be rejected or accepted by the Conference Chairs. In the later case, it can be accepted as the type originally submitted or as another type. Thus, full papers can be accepted as short papers or poster papers only. Similarly, short papers can be accepted as poster papers only.
Poster papers and Company papers are not published in the Conference Proceedings, being only presented and discussed. The authors of accepted poster papers should build and print a poster to be exhibited during the Conference. This poster must follow an A1 or A2 vertical format. The Conference includes Work Sessions where these posters are presented and orally discussed, with a 7 minute limit per poster.
The authors of accepted Full papers will have 15 minutes to present their work in a Conference Work Session; approximately 5 minutes of discussion will follow each presentation. The authors of accepted Short papers and Company papers will have 11 minutes to present their work in a Conference Work Session; approximately 4 minutes of discussion will follow each presentation.
PUBLICATION & INDEXING
To ensure that a full paper or short paper is published, poster paper or company paper is presented, at least one of the authors must be fully registered by the 8nd of January 2022, and the paper must comply with the suggested layout and page-limit. Additionally, all recommended changes must be addressed by the authors before they submit the camera-ready version.
No more than one paper per registration will be published. An extra fee must be paid for publication of additional papers, with a maximum of one additional paper per registration. One registration permits only the participation of one author in the conference.
Full and Short papers will be published in Proceedings by Springer, in a book of the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series, will be submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, WoS, Google Scholar, SCImago, among others, and will be available in the SpringerLink Digital Library. Poster and company papers will not be published, just presented in the conference.
The authors of the best selected papers will be invited to extend them for publication in international journals indexed by WoS/SCI, SCOPUS and DBLP, among others, such as:

Workshop Format
The Information Systems and Technologies research and industrial community is invited to submit proposals of Workshops for CISTI 2022 – 17th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies to be held in Madrid, Spain, June 22–25, 2022. Two types of Workshops may be proposed: Regular Workshops and Project Workshops.
Regular Workshops should focus on a specific scientific subject on the scope of CISTI 2022 but not directly included on the main conference areas. Each regular workshop will be coordinated by an Organizing Committee composed of, at least, two researchers in the field, preferably from different institutions and different countries. The organizers should create an international Program Committee for the Workshop, with recognized researchers within the specific Workshop scientific area. Each workshop should have at least 10 submissions and 5 accepted papers in order to be conducted at CISTI.
Project Workshops are intended to promote the dissemination and facilitate the future exploitation of EU Latin-American and national project results such as EU/FP7, EU/Horizon, CSIC, FCT, QREN, Portugal 2020, Fund. Gulbenkian, CYTED, CAPES, CNPq, FINEP and other Projects/funding sources. The results to be disseminated may be preliminary project results (for unfinished projects) or the project final results (for already finished projects). Each project workshop should be directly related to a Project funded in a competitive manner by a National/International Science Organization. The Workshop should be coordinated by an Organizing Committee composed by at least two researchers including the Principal Investigator of the project. Each Workshop will have 1 article offered for 10 articles with paid registration, 2 articles offered for 20 articles with paid registration, and 3 articles offered for 40 articles with paid registration. The selection of Workshops will be performed by CISTI 2022 Conference Chairs. Workshops full papers will be published in the conference main proceedings in specific Workshop chapters. Proceedings will be submitted for indexation by ISI, SCOPUS, EI-Conpendex, INSPEC and Google Scholar. Workshop Organization
The Organizing Committee of each Workshop will be responsible for:
* Producing and distributing the Workshop Call for Papers (CFP);
* Coordinating the review and selection process for the papers submitted to the Workshop, as Workshop chairs (on the paper submission system installed for all the Workshops);
* Delivering the final versions of the papers accepted for the Workshop in accordance with the guidelines and deadlines defined by CISTI 2022 organizers;
* Coordinating and chairing the Workshop sessions at the conference.
CISTI 2022 organizers reserve the right to cancel any Workshop if deadlines are missed or if the number of registered attendees is too low to support the costs associated with the Workshop.
Proposal Contents
Regular Workshop proposals should contain the following information:
* Workshop title;
* Brief description of the specific scientific scope of the Workshop;
* List of topics of interest (max 15 topics);
* Reasons the Workshop should be held within CISTI’2022;
* Name, postal address, phone and email of all the members of the Workshop Organizing Committee;
* Proposal for the Workshop Program Committee (Names and affiliations).
Project Workshop proposals should contain the following information:
* Workshop title;
* Project Title, Reference, Principal Investigator, Funding Organization, Total Funding, Consortium, Abstract and Objectives;
* Reasons the Workshop should be held within CISTI’2022;
* Name, postal address, phone and email of all the members of the Workshop Organizing Committee.

TYPES of SUBMISSIONS and DECISIONS
Four types of papers can be submitted:
Full paper: Finished or consolidated R&D works, to be included in one of the Conference themes. These papers are assigned a 10-page limit.
Short paper: Ongoing works with relevant preliminary results, open to discussion. These papers are assigned a 7-page limit.
Poster paper: Initial work with relevant ideas, open to discussion. These papers are assigned to a 4-page limit.
Company paper: Companies' papers that show practical experience, R & D, tools, etc., focused on some topics of the conference. These papers are assigned to a 4-page limit.
Submitted papers must comply with the format of Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing Series (see Instructions for Authors at Springer Website), be written in English, must not have been published before, not be under review for any other conference or publication and not include any information leading to the authors’ identification. Therefore, the authors’ names, affiliations and bibliographic references should not be included in the version for evaluation by the Program Committee. This information should only be included in the camera-ready version, saved in Word or Latex format and also in PDF format. These files must be accompanied by the Consent to Publish form filled out, in a ZIP file, and uploaded at the conference management system.
All papers will be subjected to a “double-blind review” by at least two members of the Program Committee.
Based on Program Committee evaluation, a paper can be rejected or accepted by the Conference Chairs. In the later case, it can be accepted as the type originally submitted or as another type. Thus, full papers can be accepted as short papers or poster papers only. Similarly, short papers can be accepted as poster papers only.
Poster papers and Company papers are not published in the Conference Proceedings, being only presented and discussed. The authors of accepted poster papers should build and print a poster to be exhibited during the Conference. This poster must follow an A1 or A2 vertical format. The Conference includes Work Sessions where these posters are presented and orally discussed, with a 7 minute limit per poster.
The authors of accepted Full papers will have 15 minutes to present their work in a Conference Work Session; approximately 5 minutes of discussion will follow each presentation. The authors of accepted Short papers and Company papers will have 11 minutes to present their work in a Conference Work Session; approximately 4 minutes of discussion will follow each presentation.
PUBLICATION & INDEXING
To ensure that a full paper or short paper is published, poster paper or company paper is presented, at least one of the authors must be fully registered by the 8nd of January 2022, and the paper must comply with the suggested layout and page-limit. Additionally, all recommended changes must be addressed by the authors before they submit the camera-ready version.
No more than one paper per registration will be published. An extra fee must be paid for publication of additional papers, with a maximum of one additional paper per registration. One registration permits only the participation of one author in the conference.
Full and Short papers will be published in Proceedings by Springer, in a book of the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series, will be submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, WoS, Google Scholar, SCImago, among others, and will be available in the SpringerLink Digital Library. Poster and company papers will not be published, just presented in the conference.
The authors of the best selected papers will be invited to extend them for publication in international journals indexed by WoS/SCI, SCOPUS and DBLP, among others, such as:
