Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich) is looking for a
Postdoctoral Researcher in Machine Learning (m/f/x)
at the Chair for database systems and data mining<https://www.dbs.ifi.lmu.de/> as
part of the Munich Center for Machine Learning<https://mcml.ai/> (MCML).
Your responsibilities include:
* Conducting research in one or more areas of unsupervised learning (partitioning and
non-partitioning clustering, anomaly and outlier detection), machine learning with limited
labeled data (active learning, semi-supervised learning), AutoML and meta-learning, stream
mining and online learning, deep learning technology, explainable AI.
* Co-supervising doctoral students in these fields.
* Publishing research results in relevant peer-reviewed conference proceedings and
journals.
* Contributing to the teaching activities of the department.
* Contributing to the acquisition of future research projects.
* Participating in further scientific service tasks in the department and in the
MCML.
Your qualifications:
* Excellent or upcoming doctoral degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence,
Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related research fields.
* Experience in one or more areas mentioned in the above.
* Publications in leading specialized journals or conferences in the area of Machine
Learning, Data Mining, or related elds.
* Experience in supervising student research projects.
* Good communication skills, fluent in English, and ideally knowledgeable in German.

the German TV-L scale, up to remuneration group TV-L E14, depending on the fulfillment of
requirements. The position is limited to 3 years, with the possibility of extension.
