opportunity for PhD students to present and discuss their work in a
Workshop format. Each presentation will be evaluated by a panel
composed by at least three Information Systems and Technologies
experts.
CONTRIBUTIONS and SUBMISSION:
The Doctoral Symposium is opened to PhD students whose research area
includes the themes proposed for this Conference. Submissions must
include an extended abstract (maximum 4 pages), following the
Conference style guide. All selected contributions will be published
with the Conference Proceedings in electronic format with ISBN. These
contributions will be available in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library and
will be sent for indexing in WoS, Scopus, EI-Compendex, INSPEC and
Google Scholar.
Submissions must include the field, the PhD institution and the number
of months devoted to the development of the work. Additionally, they
should include in a clear and succinct manner:
• The problem approached and its significance or relevance

Hi everyone,
We invite submissions to the 3rd International Conference on AutoML (09.09.2024 - 12.09.2024 in Paris; https://2024.automl.cc/)
AutoML 2024 brings together researchers and users with the goal of developing automated methods for machine learning pipelines and applications. These automated methods can accelerate development, improve performance, and democratize machine learning to a wider audience. We welcome submissions on any topic touching upon automating any aspect of machine learning, broadly interpreted. See a full list of topics here (https://2024.automl.cc/?page_id=616).
This year’s conference will have two parallel main tracks: one on AutoML methods and one on applications, benchmarks, challenges, and datasets (ABCD) for AutoML. All accepted papers will be presented in poster sessions and published in a volume of PMLR. In addition, we will also have a Journal Track and a Workshop track. Submissions will be done via OpenReview. Templates, formatting instructions, and more details can be found here (https://2024.automl.cc/?page_id=616).
Key dates:
* Abstract submission: 26.02.2024 [AoE]
* Paper submission: 29.02.2024 [AoE]

It is planned to hold DL2024 as an in-person event, that is, at least one author of every accepted paper has to physically attend the workshop.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The DL workshop is the major annual event of the description logic research community. It is the forum in which those interested in description logics, both from academia and industry, meet to discuss ideas, share information and compare experiences. The 37th edition will be held in Bergen, Norway, from June 18th to June 21st.
WORKSHOP SCOPE
We invite contributions on all aspects of description logics, including, but not limited to:
Foundations of description logics:
decidability and complexity of reasoning, expressive power, novel inference problems, inconsistency management, reasoning techniques, modularisation, ontology extraction, abductive and inductive reasoning, learnability
Extensions of description logics:
closed-world and non-monotonic reasoning, epistemic reasoning, temporal and spatial reasoning, procedural knowledge, query answering, reasoning over dynamic information
Integration of description logics with other formalisms:
database query languages, constraint-based programming, logic programming, rule-based systems, knowledge graphs, hybrid reasoning approaches
Applications of description logics:

STUDENT GRANTS
A limited number of student grants for participating in DL 2024 are available for students with limited funding. The grants consist of a fixed amount that can be used to support with travel costs and/or registration fees. Grants will be given to motivated students who are genuinely interested in attending the workshop and lack sufficient funding. Preference will be given to students who have a paper (or abstract) accepted to DL 2024. Further information is available on: https://dl2024.w.uib.no/students/.
INVITED SPEAKERS
Camille Bourgaux - CNRS researcher at École Normale Supérieure (part of PSL University), France
Gabriele Kern-Isberner - Technical University of Dortmund, Germany
Ondřej Kuželka - Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic
SUBMISSIONS
DL reviewing is single-blind, so the names of the authors will be visible to the reviewers and should be indicated on the submitted files. We allow anonymous submission on request (see below).
Submissions within the workshop scope may be of two types:
A. Regular papers of up to 11 pages (excluding references).
B. Extended abstracts of 2–4 pages (excluding references).
Both regular papers and abstracts must be formatted using the new CEURART style, based on the DL-specific template available on:
https://dl2024.w.uib.no/submissions/
and submitted via Easychair.
Submissions of type A must contain enough substance that they can be cited in other publications and may not have appeared before (nor be under submission). A clearly marked appendix with additional proofs and evaluation data may be included.
For submissions of type B, we highly encourage a clearly marked appendix with additional proofs, evaluation data, or extended version of your paper, which was accepted at another conference or which you submitted or plan to submit to another conference. Abstracts of papers accepted or under review at other venues must clearly state the venue where the paper has been submitted alongside its status.
The appendix will be read at the discretion of the reviewers and will not be included in the proceedings. The appendix does not need to be in the CEURART format.
Accepted submissions of both types will be selected for either oral or poster presentation at the workshop. Submissions will be judged solely based on their content, and the type of submission will have no bearing on the decision between oral and poster presentation.
Anonymous Submission
In justified cases, if you wish your submission to be handled anonymously (i.e. double-blind), please send an e-mail to the PC co-chairs explaining the reasons. You will receive instructions on how to proceed.

Dear Colleagues,
we are organizing the European "Workshop on Uncertainty in Machine
Learning" (WUML 2024) at LMU Munich on February 19-21, 2024. The last
two editions of this workshop were held in Ghent in 2023 and Compiegne
in 2021. The last edition in Ghent attracted approximately 60 participants.
With this email, we kindly invite you to attend WUML 2024. Like the
previous workshop in Ghent, this is an informal event without a paper
submission system. Every participant will have the choice to give a
talk, present a poster, or just attend the workshop without a
presentation. We have been able to collect some funding to cover the
costs for coffee breaks and lunches, so attending the workshop will not
involve any registration fee. However, we do expect that you cover
transportation and hotel costs yourself. In case you come from abroad,
we will provide you with more information on hotel bookings once we can
estimate how many people will attend.
Preliminary information about WUML 2024 can be found under the following
link:
https://sites.google.com/view/wuml2024/
We start on February 19th around noon and finish on February 21st with
lunch. After lunch, the rooms will still be available for informal
discussions and project meetings.
If you like to attend, we ask you to confirm your presence before
January 19th, using the following form:
https://sites.google.com/view/wuml2024/registration
In case of any further questions at this stage, please feel free to
contact us. Finally, do not hesitate to forward this invitation to any
of your colleagues or PhD students who might be interested in attending.
Kind regards,
Eyke Hüllermeier
Viktor Bengs
