Dima, Yes, they were in the same field as George Miller (psychology). But they also hung out with enough neuroscientists that some of the blood and guts rubbed off on them. Right now, the major research on the topic depends on neuroscience. That is one among many reasons why I prefer to use the term 'Cognitive Science'.
