I tried to download a copy of the whole book, but it was not available.  However, it's possible to download the PDFs, chapter by chapter.  The newest chapters (11 and 12) are about LLMs and related issues.

Since the authors are well-known experts on NLP, I would have more trust in their knowledge and evaluation of LLMs than I would of most writings on this topic.

My only concern is that they put a strong emphasis on NN methods and don't say enough about other methods for AI and NLP.   But that can be remedied by reading books and articles on a broader range of topics.
